Dear friends, today we will talk about an important topic – what to do when doubts come in the way of faith and faith in God is lost.
We all know that there are times in life when our faith wavers. Maybe when faced with a difficult situation or a tragic event, we start to wonder – does God really exist? Does he hear us?
This is very normal. I myself have gone through such feelings. I remember, once in my life, during a difficult time, I thought that God had abandoned me. But at that time, some verses from the Bible gave me courage and strength.
So today I want to share those verses with you. These are not just words, they are God’s promises for our lives. Let’s see how these verses can help us.
Let’s first turn to Mark 9:24. Here a father comes to Jesus to heal his son. He says, “Lord, I believe. Help me with my unbelief.”
Look, how honest this father is! He admits that he has both faith and doubt. We feel that way too, don’t we? But notice, he came to Jesus with doubts. That’s the important thing—we can come to God just as we are.
Next, let’s turn to James 1:6. It says, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.” This may sound like doubting is bad. But it really means that when we ask God for something, we should ask with complete confidence.
Now, let’s turn to Matthew 14:31. Here Jesus says to Peter, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Peter was walking on water, but he was afraid and began to sink. Here we see that doubt comes when we look to the situation instead of God.
A friend of mine once had a very serious illness. The doctors said he would not live. But he looked to God’s promise. Today he is completely well. This shows that when we look to God, the impossible becomes possible.
Friends, remember—doubting is not a sin. It is our human weakness. But what we do when doubt comes is what matters. Will we pull away from God, or will we draw closer?
I encourage you – whenever doubt comes, read these verses. Pray to God. Talk to believing friends. Remember, God loves you and is with you – even when you can’t feel it.
There will be ups and downs in our journey of faith. But every moment of doubt is an opportunity for us to develop a deeper relationship with God. So don’t be afraid. Go to God with your doubts. He will accept you, understand you, and give you strength.
Let’s pray together: “Lord, increase our faith. When doubt comes, draw us to you. Remind us of your love and faithfulness. Amen.”
Friends, I hope these words help you. Remember, you are not alone. We are all on this journey together. Don’t forget to encourage each other. God bless you.
