Dear friends, this Bible story teaches us an important truth. Our true destination, our eternal home, is not on this earth, but in heaven. God sends different people into our lives at the right time and in the right way, whom we can call ‘destiny helpers’. Their purpose is to lead us towards that eternal home.
This happens many times. Sometimes a familiar person, and sometimes a complete stranger, comes to our side for a while and changes the course of our lives. They are actually God’s messengers. God is using them to help us overcome the problems and obstacles of this earthly life and reach our true goal.
These destiny helpers teach us many things. They explain that our life is not just for a few days. Our true destination is in heaven, where we will be in the presence of God forever. And to reach that eternal destination, He brings different people to our side on our journey of life.
So friends, respect every person who comes to your aid. Their presence may be for a short time, but their impact is lifelong. Through them, God speaks to you, making you understand that this world is not your permanent home. Your true home is beyond, with our Lord.
So let us not neglect the small events of our daily lives. Who knows, today you will meet a stranger who will spark a new thought in your mind. That thought may take you a little closer to God. Your ‘helper of destiny’ will appear in your life with a message from heaven.
Remember, this world is our temporary home. God wants us not to forget our eternal home. So He pushes us in different ways, at different times, on the path of that ultimate refuge. And on this journey, many people come as our fellow travelers – our ‘helpers of destiny’. Let us acknowledge them, be grateful. Because it is through their arrival that God expresses His love for us.
