Bible Verses About Borrowing Money With Interest

Dear friends, today I want to talk to you about an important topic – borrowing and taking money. It’s something that comes at some point in our lives. So let’s see what the Bible says about it.

First of all, God wants us to be kind and sympathetic to each other. He says, “Be merciful, as your heavenly father is kind.” This means that when someone wants help from us, we will help them. But I will not harm myself by doing that.

Suppose a friend of you is in danger. He doesn’t have money, but he needs it very much. If you lend him some money this time, that would be a very good thing. But remember, it is borrowed – not a gift. Your friend also needs to understand that he is obliged to return the money.

Again, if you borrow money from someone, then it is your responsibility to return it in time. It’s not just the law, it is also a matter of morality. Remember, Jesus says, “Do the same as you want to treat others.”

Now let’s talk about interest. In the old rules, God told the Jews not to take interest from their own people. Why? Because he wanted them to help each other, not exploit. This policy still applies today. If we want to help someone, we will not try to profit from him.

However, it is important to remember that interest in business loan is not immoral. But there is a fair rate of interest, no one can be cheated.

Jesus taught us to be careful about money. He said, “The love of money is the root of all evil.” This does not mean that money is bad. But we must remember that money does not own us, we own money.

So when we lend or borrow money to someone, we should do so with wisdom and consideration. We will borrow according to our ability, and we will pay it back on time. And if we lend to someone, we will understand their needs, not cause them hardship.

Lastly, I will remember that God is the source of all our things. Let us help others with what He has given us. This is how we can spread the love of God.
